Haven't wrote for a long time....

So I really haven't wrote or blogged for at least an year. Don't worry, I'm partially back. I'll write when I am bored.

On this site, I will release some game hacks/patches I have made for ipod.

I won't hold any responsibility for ruining your game, or making you start over again, because I only know how to modify saves, but not patch it.

I would appreciate if some one told me how but.....

COD verruckt Hack

NOTE: I will not write the full steps yet. I'm still working around it, but I have successfully found a way to get the new map, Verruckt, without damaging the save data, and also including a way to save.

On YouTube, all the hacks that people put on work, but it cannot be used well, since it either disables the game saving, the map itself doesn't work, or the new update 1.3.0 blocks you from getting/using he map itself.

Let's get the hack going!

What you will need for this:
ifile/OpenSSH with a client
Jailbroken iPod
Call of Duty: World at War (any version)
Safari Download Plugin
UDIDFaker

To get ifile, put in repo.beyouriphone.com
Look up on google how to get udidfaker.

Links for the files will be posted later, but if your impatient, look up "How to get verruckt map free Cod Waw" on YouTube. Download the package with the verruckt map and the ipa on mediafire.

I will be explaining this interpurting that you are using ifile.

1. Download the file(s) besure to tap download not play
2. Download COD WAW
3. Install COD
4. Unzip the file
5. Leave it in a place that is easy to find.
6. Play COD (start to play but exit after) to create the save data)
7. Browse to /var/mobile/Library/Downloads/ or wherever you downloaded the files and unzipped it.
8. Choose edit and check the following:
genericsink.dat
news
shipsink.dat
verruckt.dz
verruckt_full.dz

Now cut the files

9. Browse to /var/mobile/applications/COD Zombies/ (If you don't see this, change the settings to show app name)
10. Browse to the documents file
11. Now edit->paste
12. Overwrite the files
13. Try launching COD Zombies now. On the menu you should see the news. Now you should also be able to continue your last played game. (the one used for creating the save file)
14. If you see everything mentioned, you are now able to play the FULL cod zombies
15. Go to UDIDFaker and choose COD Zombies.
Change the code to:
eb46359df8ffaa618fc40769a04996e6417af25f

This prevents a glitch called SuperZombie, you meet an invincible zombie.

IMPORATANT UPDATE:

After doing this, don't connect to the new maps. It will bring down your full verruckt to the preview one.

Also if you are in preview after trying this out, read on.

1. Delete the save data under /var/mobile/Applications/COD Zombies/Documents/savedata2.dat
(the savedata file name may vary)
2. Launch Verruckt map again and quit.
3. See if a new data file is made, and it should be there.

If you don't see your save file, then try again, since I don't know what to do. Sorry. This is what I did to make it work.

Caps-Lock

Did you know that there's caps on the iPod touch/iPhone? Well do you know how to use it? I just found out today, so there's nothing to fear about. All you have to do is enlable the caps-lock option in settings, and then at ANY keyboard, double tap shift quickly. Then, the shift should be blue. Now you can type in caps. To disable caps, tap shift again.

What I think:
Nice app, but unfortunately at the time of writing, it doesn't have a save option, and it would have been much greater with it. Also to add, the Ladder option is very slow at loading (unless it's my wifi).

This app is good if you have a lot of free time, and you want some type of action game to play.

Ok, the first app will reveiw is installous.






Well, some people might wonder, what is installous?

It's an app that speaks for itself. It installs apps. But, not just any app, free apps. Like pocketgod, N.O.V.A., name it, it's there (except for IM+ for some reason).

To get installous you need to add the source cydia.hacklous.us (I think). Look it up on google for more information.

By the way, you need cydia and a jailbroken iPod to do this. Happy jailbreaking (or install)!!!

*Note: at the time of writing, firmware version 3.1.3 jailbreak isn't released and most likely not produced until the iPhone 4G or iPod touch 4G comes out. If you have a iPod touch 3G with version 3.1.3 your screwed (except for the 8gig). Trust me, I did a bunch of research already.

Jailbreak 3.1.2 can be done by:

redsn0w (you need the firmware to jailbreak)
blackra1n (you need iTunes to jailbreak, works better on windows. Also the easiest and fastest, but with some wifi bugs, fixed by reboot)
sn0wbreeze (least recommended makes custom .ipsw files. Use of others fail.)

What I think

I think is brilliant, besides the fact it's illegal. So, by my pride and laws(?) I cannot recommend you to get installous, but then again the choice is yours.
